It’s official, the full text of Initiative Petition 13 was filed and accepted by the Office of the Oregon Secretary of State. What does this mean? It just means that IP13 is now a prospective petition and we can begin gathering our initial 1,000 sponsorship signatures.
These initial sponsorship signatures are a bit different than the final 112,020 signatures needed to get on the November 2022 ballot. Before we can start collecting those, we need 1,000 Oregonians to sign the petition requesting that IP13 be forwarded to the Attorney General. Once we get those first 1,000 signatures, the AG will create an official ballot title and we’ll be approved to start gathering the remaining signatures to get on the ballot!
